Miles Goodyear, a prominent fur trapper and mountain man who was one of the first settlers of the area, built the cabin now known as the Miles Goodyear Cabin in 1845. Though relocated to a new site, visitors can see what the living situation was like for a 19th century trapper as the cabin has been maintained true to its original form. The cabin is located next to the Pioneer Museum in the downtown area.
